COVID-19 UPDATE

Our ‘Covid-19 secure’ cleaning regime

Dear Visitor

The cleanliness of Seashells Cottage has always been paramount to us. We have long used virucidal, disinfectants, but have now introduced additional products that are certified to kill Coronavirus.

We will use these products throughout the property taking extra care of high-touch surface areas such as door handles, light switches, kettles and toasters. We will also ensure the cleanliness of the upholstery, including armchairs and blinds.

As always, our bed linen and towels will be laundered to the highest standards in accordance with the latest virus-control procedures.

We are providing cleaning products in safe locations, under the sink and in the cupboard by the door and, during your stay, you are welcome to use these.

Guests are welcome to arrive anytime from 4.30 pm on the arrival day, while departure is by 10.00 am on the final day. We will be asking guests to strictly adhere to these times, which will be crucial to ensuring there is  enough time for changeover following the Government physical distancing rules.

Keys are available in the key safe to the right of the door and we will be carefully disinfecting them all. Guests will be given the code before  arrival.

Inside Seashells, we will be keeping to our usual high standards of presentation. All kitchenware and crockery will be clean but not sanitised so we will be recommending that guests rewash items in hot, soapy water before use. We usually provide a pint of milk in the fridge, but have paused that for now.

Seashells has a number of books and DVD’s, along with board games and local information leaflets. We’ll keep these available, but as we won’t be able to sanitise each individual item during a changeover, we’ll place them in bookcases and cupboards and ask guests to wash their hands thoroughly after use. Important information about the property will be presented in wipeable plastic folders or on laminated sheets.

If, during your stay, there is an exceptional reason why one of us, or a trusted contractor may need to visit Seashells (for example to rectify an issue in the cottage), we will inform you with as much notice as possible and adhere to all Government physical distancing rules. We will be asking guests to abide by the latest Government recommendations, including guidance regarding who can travel and who can stay overnight together.

If, during a stay, any person starts to show symptoms of Coronavirus or is advised to self- isolate, we ask to be informed  as soon as possible and appropriate measures will be taken.

Finally, to help with our efforts to protect everyone, at the end of your stay, we will ask guests to  strip the bed, placing the linen and towels in one of the black plastic bags found under the sink, empty the fridge and remove rubbish.

We want all our visitors to be reassured by the measures we are taking - but above all to enjoy their holiday!

Thank you

 Liz
